Join us on our idyllic rally through the urban nature of Old Stralau!
The rally takes you all the way around the peninsula, following the waterfront. Along the way, you’ll solve puzzles, learn fun facts about the neighborhood, and discover habitats for animals and plants. The finish line is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the starting point.
Why not bring along a picnic? You’ll find plenty of lovely spots along the way to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

How does the rally work? The rally is a self-guided experience using the Actionbound app. As you follow the route, you’ll stop at different locations where you’ll discover interesting stories about urban nature, answer quiz questions, and complete fun little challenges. It’s a playful way to explore the city while learning something new.
Before you head out
A few tips to make your experience as smooth as possible:
- Download the Actionbound app before you begin.
- If you can, preload the rally while connected to Wi-Fi to save mobile data.
- Turn on your phone’s GPS and allow the app to access your location.
- GPS isn’t always perfectly accurate, so if a station seems a few metres away, use the descriptions in the app to help you find the right spot.
- Many quiz questions have more than one correct answer.
- You can enjoy the rally on your own or as a group using a single smartphone.
What to bring
We recommend packing:
- Binoculars (if you have them)
- Water and a snack
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen on sunny days
- A fully charged smartphone
- A rubbish bag and gloves if you’d like to help keep the neighbourhood clean while you’re exploring
